oh the demons come / they can subside
I have no good excuse for my disappearing act over the last month. Let’s just forget that it ever happened and celebrate the fact that there is finally some new Bon Iver music out there in the world. Is it just coincidence that Justin Vernon released the song “Calgary” this past weekend while I was visiting the Albertan city located one province over? I’d like to think it was his way of directly reaching out to me… and saying that we should be together. Yup, that must be it.
Anyway, I feel like this album couldn’t have come into my life at a more perfect time — although, I tend to say that about pretty much everything Justin Vernon has touched. I just know that thirty years down the line, I’ll still be lying on my bedroom floor listening to his records.
