Music vs. Misery

let’s get out of this place… just take what you can carry

One of my favourite bands has a new record coming out next week and I’m as giddy as a preteen girl. Ireland’s Bell X1 sixth full-length is currently streaming over on their Facebook page  all you have to do to hear it in all its gloriousness is ‘Like’ the band’s page. I’m quite sure that nothing has been more worthy of one simple click. The album’s lead-off track, “Hey Anna Lena,” has a very Radiohead-esque feel to it that I am way digging. I’ve probably listened to it thirty times already in the past two days. You can watch the trio performing it in studio here.

If you need something to tide you over until the official release of Bloodless Coup, I cannot recommend 2009’s Blue Lights on the Runway enough. One of the best albums of the last decade that hardly anyone heard.
